Conservation is how we manage our natural resources such as wildlife, trees, forests, and rivers. Our natural resources should go untouched unless we are going to replace it with new growth. For an example, if we cut down a tree we need to plant another in its place. We need to remember that our forests are beautiful and our wildlife needs trees and plants to survive.

Preservation is leaving things alone to grow in their natural state. Many things need to be left alone to preserve the land for our wildlife to exist and to roam freely. Preservation is to let things grow naturally and be not be used by humans for developing or personal use. Even when people think that using land or things on the land for environmentally safe reasons it still threatens the organisms within the ecosystems. Watching the video of the Bridger-Teton Natural Forests allows us to see why we need to preserve this land and not allow humankind to drill for oil. We need to have a place like this for people to enjoy and not allow our land to become depleted. Watching this video made me realize that we do not have many places left that we can actually see this beautiful land and wildlife.

The forests are home of the wildlife and I believe that humans need to come up with other ways to sustain their needs. The wildlife is being forced to leave their homes and is dying because they cannot find adequate food.

I am on the side of preservation and the reason for that is that I believe we are becoming a country that is greedy and too lazy to research other methods to sustain our needs. We need to preserve what we have and leave nature alone.
