Creativity Self-Analysis
Each individual defines creativity in different ways. I would define creativity as the ability to recognize and produce something new and innovative, through music, thought, writing, drawing, painting, and even dancing, from the traditional ideas, processes, philosophies, and techniques. A creative person can then take those new and innovative ideas and make those ideas a reality. Each individual expresses his or her creativity in different ways and a person’s perception of creativity varies from person to person. The purpose of this paper is to discuss what makes me creative, how I demonstrate creativity, does my creativity occur under certain specific circumstances, or is it diffuse, what leads me to recognize creativity in others, and finally do any differences exist between me and a creative genius.

Personal Creativity
In many ways, I would say that reading and movies make me creative. Reading allows me to venture to different places and different times. Books give me the ability to visualize people, creatures, and events that I might not ever see in the real world. Movies take the imagination a step further by providing something more tangible for the viewer (me) to latch onto. After watching movies or reading books on a particular subject, I typically begin to think about how I would have told the particular tale differently. For example, long have I been a fan of Homer and the Iliad. Recently, after reading the Iliad once again and upon seeing the movie Troy, I wanted to write my own simple short story, meshing the epic book tale and the creative licensed ideas of the movie.
