Check Point the Writing Process:
The writing process is a lot is a lot different then how I am used to writing my papers. I would read a little or research poorly and skim through the rest of my research on a topic that I was suppose to write about. When it came to writing the paper I would just free write it. Then I would revise the paper add a little more information and not re-read any thing that I wrote. I would just tell myself it is done.
The easiest steps that I have found I can complete are steps one, three, and four. Step one, which is Free Writing, is how I always wrote a paper or document. So I find that is the easiest more then other steps. Step three, which is revising. Which is making sure that all the questions are answered that needed to be. I myself always have to double check to make sure to answer all questions that are supposed to be answered. It seems like I always forget one. The last step, which is, steps four Editing. I have tried to get in a habit to read my document or paper when it is all most finished and again when it is finished. I always find that there are mistakes I have made. I have written sentences that do not make any since to me alone anyone else. I have written the same sentence more then one time in the same paragraph.
The most difficult step in the writing process for myself is step two which part of it is the thesis statement. On every paper or document the thesis statement is a big struggle for me. I never had to write a thesis statement before and I really do not know what one is.
I am going to work on this obstacle by doing more Thesis statements. Looking at examples over the Internet and practicing writing some. If I can write a good thesis I will do a lot better on my documents and papers that I write. Which in return will make me a better writer.
