Cuddly George

Characters:

N = Narrator
G = George
S = George’s siblings
M = Great big man

N: In the jungle lived a cuddly monkey named George. George was such a cuddly monkey that whenever his siblings found him alone, they couldn’t resist cuddling with him!

G: Go away! Leave me alone! I just want to play all by myself! That is all I ever want!

S: But George we can’t leave you alone! You’re just too cuddly!

G: No! I’m tired and fed up with all your cuddling, playing, and huddling! Why can’t you guys ever leave me alone! I’m going to find a place where I can play all by myself!

S: Please play with us!

G: No! I’m leaving!

S: Please don’t go!

N: George left his siblings so he could play alone. He climbed, jumped, and ran for many miles, until he found a little wooden house that looked perfect for a little cuddly monkey. He tiptoed into the house, which seemed to be empty. At last he was all by himself!

G: At last! A house of my own, a place where I can jump, climb, and play without being bothered by my annoying siblings!

N: George spent hours playing, jumping, running, and climbing all by himself. Suddenly there came a BANG-BANG-BANG at the little wooden door.

G: Who is it?

Brother: It’s me, your brother! I followed your monkey prints all the way here! Can I come in and cuddle with you?

G: No you most definitely cannot come in! I’m very busy and I don’t want to be disturbed so please go away! Leave me alone!

Brother: But you’re hurting my feelings George! I am very lonely without you! Please George let me stay!

G: I don’t care! I just want to play all by myself! Goodbye!

N: So with that, George slammed the door as hard as he could and he was alone once again. But what George really didn’t understand was that he was hurting his brother’s feelings. He was only thinking of what he wanted to do, not about being nice to others....
