Current Trends in Business

Within an organization there can be up to ten different business communication trends.   Not all organization uses all of the different trends but they are used in some form or another.   I will describe them briefly and then discuss how they are used within my organization.  
The ten business communication trends are Technology, Focus on Quality and Customers’ Needs, Entrepreneurship, Teamwork, Diversity, Globalization and Outsourcing, Legal and Ethical Concerns, Balancing Work and Family, Job Flexibility and Rapid Rate of Change.   Technology has advanced over the years so that communication between employees and employers has become easier.   Because of all of the advances employers do expect for their employees to know how to use items such as the internet, read e-mail, use processors such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.   Focusing on Customer Needs and Quality has become important for most business since the expectations of the customers grew.   Even though customers’ expectations are high it does not mean that the company needs to spend a lot of money to make the customers happy.   Just by communicating better with the customers the satisfaction can be attained.   When the customers feel that you really do care about what you think they will be more willing to visit your store or even use the business services again.   Entrepreneurship has grown unexpectedly.   While starting up a new business it is very important for the owner to be able to communicate the company goals to prospective clients and employees.   There is also the need to be able to handle any problem that should arise, and to market your company to the public.   Teamwork has grown so that many individuals are placed together to come up with a common goal.   These individuals may have different strengths from each other so they would be able to accomplish the goal through different prospective.   Diversity within the workplace has risen.   People from all different ethnicities, social status and economic...
