Vocational Rehabilitation programs are organizations that cater to high school drop outs, whether teenagers or adults. This organization is looking for motivated, qualified, personnel to help form, build, and operate this establishment that we as a community have been fortunate to be granted the opportunity.
As with many organizations a structure must be established and reviewed. A departmentalization by consumer and client will be of most use, because this way the types of clients this organization serves will determine the structure. An organization must establish an executive director who will oversee the policy and decision making process as well as making certain goals and plans are achieved. The executive director will strongly influence the staff and base rewards and benefits accordingly. As the organization staffs it’s office it will look for dedicated, empowered people who have vision, organization skills, communicational skills, as well as being committed to professional values and the clients. With out the well structured organization, the organization is self is doomed for failure. The organization will not have a stable foundation and staff. A board of directors needs to be executing funding for the programs, accesses the stability of the organization and the staff. The executive director will design the programs and set goals and achievements. The executive director will also maintain the evaluations of the goals and see that the outcomes are being met and achieved, and if not, then why? Staff will determine the client’s needs, monitor, evaluate and see that the total needs are being met. Once the organization structure is designed the next step would be to establish programs for high school drop outs, assess the needs of each individual client.
