The Free Library of Philadelphia; A dating gem.
Philadelphia is full of gems; locations that can make a person shine and allow you to put your best foot forward. These are perfect locations for dates, especially first ones. One of my favorites is The Free Library of Philadelphia. It’s an amazing destination for a date because of its location, the atmosphere of the library, and the insight you’ll be able to get off of the person you’re going with.
The location of the Free Library of Philadelphia makes it a great destination for a date. Being a few steps off the Ben Franklin Parkway allows you to have access to plenty of museums and the parkway parks and fountains. You also have several great restaurants of varying cuisines just a few blocks up the parkway as well. Or depending on the weather you could buy something light from a vendor and just relax outside on either the Art Museum steps or in the shady grove of trees right outside of the Rodin Museum. The library’s Center City location allows you plenty of ways to get here in the event you don’t want to drive while in the early hours there will be plenty of parking spaces for if you do decide to take your car
The atmosphere of the Free Library of Philadelphia is a very unique one for a date. The lack of a need to dress for example will allow you to see what type of person you’re dealing with. The quiet rooms will force you to pay extra attention to the conversation to make sure you hear everything and can respond correctly and insightfully. The café area can allow you to have an early brunch feel if you go with the scones while having conversation about any books or other items your date showed an interest in. Not to mention watching and enjoying the children running through and playing and the people doing research gives it a voyeuristic touch and plenty of extra entertainment and conversation fodder if you feel you need it.
