Singing is something that some can do and many…..well want to do. Singing is something that many are born with a nice voice but it’s not developed so singing is a skill people must harness. Some have an idea as to how to sign but learning how to sing is always better. So how many here sing in the shower car at home but just you know because you want to? Ok cool, so how many here have taken classes or sing semi pro or actually pro? Lol
Before singing one must learn what your voice Range is. Voice ranges differ from voice to voice and fro male to women.   Most women are sopranos, Mezzo sopranos and contraltos and men are split in to countertenor, tenor, baritone and bass.   If you want to know your voice range well it’s not easy just to know by hear you have to actually go to someone that knows music to tell you what your voice range is.
So the first thing about singing is breathing and correct posture. You stand tall with one foot slightly in front of the other one, feet shoulder width apart. When you stand like this it allows you to breathe easier and allow maximum lung capacity so that you can hit those notes better. You stand up straight shoulders back but not so stiff. You must have you chest high to give your lungs room to expand and contract. Relax your jaw relax your face. You must breathe properly because breathing is 80% of singing and proper singing begins and ends with proper breathing.
Ok now we know how to stand correctly. So now you know how to stand and I know my voice range which I’m a soprano (meaning I can reach some of the highest notes when properly warmed up and trained) Next you must know how to pronounciate well so that your song will be understood. Saying a word is not the same as signing a word. When singing every syllable must be said right. In different types of music the vowels are either elongated or just shortened.
