Eastern Religious Philosopher Quotations
Siddhartha Gautama (Buddha/Enlightened one)
Buddha thought that if humans rejected the egoistic cravings and desires, than humans will overcomes the false self, and will then achieve what is known as “the unsurpassed state of security . . . and utter peaceâ€, which is what is needed to acquire “Nirvanaâ€. Siddhartha Gautama (or Buddha), is described as “the Enlightened One.â€I believe that both these two quotes (found with-in the text); best describe just who Buddha was, and what his ideas were. Buddha tried to show his followers; as-well-as himself that through the loss of our egoistic cravings and desires, a person can then have the chance to reach a state of complete enlightenment.

The first is gentleness, the second is frugality, the third is humility. By being gentle he can be bold; by being frugal he can be liberal, and by being humble he becomes a leader among menâ€. This to me; shows that ultimately a person wants to become humble and gentle, in order to become a man among men.
Chang Tzu
Chang-Tzu was the chief (or main) follower of Lao-Tzu, and...
