    Modernization manifests itself in United States society and other societies in many ways. Modernization is felt globally through commercialism and trade. Modernization occurs through social economic change, urbanization, immigration, industrial revolution and other circumstances that alter peoples lives. It is the implementation of technology in people’s lives, bringing about both good and bad consequences, depending how you view it.

    America is one of the pioneers or modernization, and will continue to be.   The effects of modernization are seen worldwide. We are one of the leaders in modernizations. Japan and other countries are also leaders in modernization and we are profiting from their technologies and innovations.

    Modernization will always continue. It can never be stifled in my opinion. You can only resist the change of times for so long before it will start to impact your life. It is inevitable that humans will continue to create and innovate and supply the United States and other countries with our ideas and products. As long as materials and products are in demand and generating profit, modernization will continue to affect the people and their ways of life.

    Negative consequences of modernization are the effects it has on the environment, in ways of pollution. Though we are becoming more aware these days of the effects of emissions , greenhouse gasses and waste from factories and plants and everyday citizens, the effects of pollution have taken its toll. Modernization has essentially become the downfall of our environment. On the other hand, we are also innovating new ways to be “green” and more eco friendly in many ways that have never been done.  

    Modernization can also affect the economy in different ways, such as creating a larger gap between classes. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. This situation causes many problems...
