Care for Older People in Modern Countries and Developing Countries.

In modern countries, elder people get special services such as getting special price on using public transportation and even in hospital. Unfortunately, we can not see those privileges in developing country such as Indonesia. In this essay, the writer is going to discuss what privileges which needed by elder Indonesians.

In some modern countries, such as US, Japan, China, the government is always concerning on services for the elders. Those countries have ruled some regulations that guarantee older people’s future. They have prepared the entire thing which needed by the senior citizens for instance health care installations. Countries such as Sweden, the UK, and Australian have attempted the cost of state care for long – term elder people heed which is alienated for some communes and communities across the nation. Greater economy that they have had changed their institutional tradition from into better planning. For example Japan, Government are concerning at professionalizing care, heightened health promotion, and enriched senior citizens lifestyle in their societies. Then in China, they are still increasing their healthcare installations. The Chinese Government just allowed limited hospital care only for short acute care so then it can give more treatment for elder people.

We will see definitely distinction from above treatment in developing countries. Most of developing countries have high growing youth growing so we can not so much so many elder people just like in modern countries above. Mostly, elder people still stay with their big family as tradition. Elder people are usually concerned by religious foundation and even non profit organizations. There are house retirements for them but only few. It some times can cause lack of health care. There is a fact claimed that life expectancy in some of developing countries is so quiet low.
