Cautious Investing for the Individual
Despite the overabundant data that constantly scrolls and splashes on a typical financial web page or television program, the necessary data for any individual investor is actually easy to find and decode, given practice. To say it is simple needs to be a qualified statement but as I hope to present with a business overview and financial spreadsheets, there is little reason to not continue investigating choices on your own if you wish considering the choices for your new windfall.
Emerson Placed in a Short Perspective
Emerson Electric (Emerson) does not sit squarely on one industry like an automaker or insurance provider, although the Electric Industrial Apparatus code is considered its primary field as used in sites like Hoover and other industry tracking databases. Its umbrella covers Electronic components, Furniture (manufacturing), Hand tools, Industrial manufacturing, and Generators-pumps-compressors-motors. (Hoovers 2008) To go any farther would dilute the needed information; suffice it to say that Emerson covers a wide spectrum of electronic, construction and production control equipment with the accessories and in-house engineering support that go along with such products. Emerson has approximately 265 manufacturing locations around the world with roughly 165 are outside the U.S., basically in Europe and Asia, China and Latin America. This reveals a framework of a truly global company in operation, sales, and sights for expansion.
