Through out this course I have learned a lot about the juvenile justice center. I have learned about the down fall of the justice center. What laws has been change to make the justice center better for juveniles. I also learned what it will take for me to succeed in the field that I plan on going into.   After reading this essay you should be able to see why I feel as though that rehabilitation should be the main focus of the juvenile justice center and how certain law should affect juveniles. And why juveniles that do certain crime should be charged as adult instead of sitting in jail until they are old enough to be charged as adult.
The question remain if the system should focus on rehabilitation for juvenile and I feel like I have the answer to that which is yes because   it can help with the amount of time spend in jail, it can also help with why teen are delinquent. But the biggest thing is that it will help with the cost of teen being placed in jail. I as think that it will help teen choose a better path in life instead of doing crime. Everyone need a second chance in life to see what if could be like if they don’t change their habits. Rehabilitation means “to restore to a condition of good health, ability to work, or the like and or to restore to good condition, operation, or management, as a bankrupt business and to reestablish the good reputation of (a person, one's character or name, etc.).”
One program that can help is called Rehabilitation which gives offenders a one and only chance to learn about their behavior, how it impacts society, and what they can do to change that behavior. As far as I know once they have finished the class they are consider a “rehabitated” person and they are aware of how their action will affect them and society.
