Personal Ethical Development
Personal ethics are the moral foundation on which people build their lives. They assist in
decision making, guiding you to participate in actions that meet your internal moral standards.
Ethics represents the core value system you use for everyday problem solving. They create a
framework for determining “right†versus “wrongâ€. Ethics are developed throughout life based
on a variety of factors. They are not absolute rules. For many people, to define personal ethics is
a difficult endeavor. They simply consider their “inner voice†to be all the ethical guidance they
need. After all, intuition plays a large role in what one finds ethical.(suite 101,2010).
When it comes to the development of one;s personal ethics both in personal life and professional world it is important that when making decisions that as a person focus on the benefits for the people involved not make a decision based on how one feels and their beliefs. Personal ethics development depends on the utility model that could cause moral ethical decisions but didn't account for "justice and other principles that society embraces" .The ethical character of an individual is at best should be developed from both the utilitarian model and the principles that society follows. (Wong & Beckham, 1992, p. 175)..
Ethical system can be defined a way of telling apart wrong from right or I can also define it as s the basic ethics that as a family, religion, coworkers, or peers subscribe to. Those morals and principles are the glue of that close family. For an example in my family our family our mantra is sharing is caring. It is important to be selfless and care for others. This mantra binds us together as we are forever discussing ways we can share in the community or with neighbors....
