Introduction
With the retirement of the Baby Boom generation, comes a change in the foundation of the nation. In past times getting a high school diploma was all you needed to enter the workforce and be successful. In today’s society higher education is mandatory to even be considered for entry-level positions. Which leads to the topic of educational services, this industry is steadily growing and is becoming a customary decision for young adults and non-traditional student body.   Changes in our economy has shaped and molded the higher education industry, with employee layoffs, outsourcing, and recession’s period’s education services have increased in enrollment. Through the course of this essay I will analysis those changes by evaluating the industry environment, remote environment, and the operating environment.

Educational Services Industry
Higher education is a service that operations out of the Educational Services Industry, higher education can consist of different types of postsecondary institutions. These postsecondary institutions can include: private universities, state universities, community colleges, vocational associations, and corporate certifications. Normally higher education facilities operate on a four year, two year, or 18 month completion period. Degrees consist of Doctorates, Masters, Bachelors, Associates and Certification diplomas. Educational services can be arrange in several ways with traditional studies
(live on campus go to a physical class), non-traditional basis (live off campus with a full-time job, or use online courses.), and/or on-the job studies (get a degree or certification at you primary vocation.)
