12pm I called my mother who was at work at the time and told her what was happening. She rushed over and within an hour we were at the doctors' office. Lying on the hard paper, the doctor checked me and I was in early labor and was two centimeters dilated. All these thoughts were rushing through my head. "O my god!" "I'm not ready to have this baby yet!" The doctor then told me I could either go to the hospital or go home and wait till the pain got worse. I did not know it could get worse then this. I decided to suck it up, so I went to get some food and go home.

7 pm I was admitted into the hospital at 3 centimeters. The contractions were coming, but it was not that strong. During this time the whole hospital floor was watching the Red Sox beat Colorado and all I could do was sit in my hospital bed, eat ice chips, and listen to the heart beat of my baby. I called my boyfriend and told him he better get up here as soon as possible because this baby is not waiting for no one

12:00 am October 25, 2007 at five centimeters, the pain just got so unbearable I had to get an epidural. This was the best and the worse thing I could have done. The best thing because it took all the pain away, the worse thing because having to put a needle in my spine just seemed so crazy to me. I did get to rest while the doctors kept coming in to check on me and my unborn child.

2:15 am I was already at 8 centimeters. The doctors did get worried because the baby's heart rate was not at the rate they wanted it. They tired several times to put in an internal fetal heart rate monitor but for some reason it failed.

2:45 am No sign of my boyfriend yet and I was already 10 centimeters dilated. As the doctors prepared everything, tears just started flowing down my cheeks.

3 am I began to push. From what I have heard and learned this was going to be a long process. They gave me oxygen and the rest is history.
