Excellence
Excellence may be defined in many aspects. Applying excellence in a psychological aspect displays it as more of a humanistic trait, rather than something that may apply to any physical object or idea. As humans, no matter what road we are on, have a drive for some sort of excellence. Our own personal definition of excellence may differ greatly from another’s definition. Excellence is what the human sees as a perfection of an idea or object. Seeing it in its full potential allows one to see it in its highest excellence. My most important excellence is my education, because it happens to my most important goal right now. I strive to make my learning experience and my influence on my own education as perfect as they can be, or as excellent as possible.
In an academic setting, excellence is important. You can get through schooling just passing and floating through, or you can apply excellence to your learning experience. This means that you not only make learning a priority, but you strive to make what you do, the best you can possibly do. Making your work and experience excellent will not only increase your grades, but will also boost your experience which will have a positive effect on your overall feeling.
My personal application of excellence this semester has been grand. While I do believe I could do a better job at dedicating more time towards my work outside of class, I do think I have stayed on track. I believe that if I apply my highest excellence to my work, then I will maintain good grades and will feel good about them, while keeping a high level of confidence.
