An Occurrence
Over time, marriages grow apart as people change and circumstances control the outcome of the relationship. The most common issue is an extramarital affair which wreaks havoc from the beginning to the end its course. The events which follow the transgression lead to unhealthy relationships on all levels. It affects every element of a relationship and inflicts emotional and physical pain on all parties involved. The aftermath of an extramarital affair goes far beyond the participants. It has far reaching effects that are long lasting and hard to forgive or forget.
There is devastation and turmoil fast approaching as it undeniably wrong; morally. Justification of an extramarital affair is extreme and irresponsible most often leaving damage beyond repair. The initial knowledge of such an incident is both confusing and shocking at the same time. An investigation and self evaluation process initiates and can consume all natural thought processes. In its wake lie countless assumptions and scenarios of the various activities of the transgressors.
Causes and Effects of Extramarital Affairs
The most obvious and most stated is deep rooted issues in the relationship. There are several contributing factors to the breech in matrimony. A marriage or relationship is a partnership and requires input from both sides. Lack of communication will destroy the cohesion and unity established in a relationship. It strains the wholeness of the relationship and less commitment is evident on behalf of both partners. The distraction of the affair can lead to failed careers and social relationships.
Self esteem issues can take precedence in a relationship and open doors for extramarital affairs. The desire to feel wanted and love is overwhelming and if those needs are not met in the marriage or relationship, the search for accommodating companionship is perpetuated.
