The first fast food restaurant I choose was McDonald’s. I ate a double quarter pounder with cheese, medium french fries with two packets of ketchup, and a medium coca-cola. This meal expended 1360 calories of my daily value leaving me with 1364 calories left for the day. The total fat content I would consume on this meal is 62% of my daily value. Saturated fat is 82% of my daily value. Trans fat is not listed. Cholesterol is 36%. Sodium would be 53%. Carbohydrates would be 33.3%. Fiber would be 23%. Protein would be 104g but does not have a value. Sugars and calcium is not listed. Being that my calorie intake is 724 calories higher than the 2000 calorie guide line for McDonald’s, my percents are diffferent. Areas I need to improve on are staying away from places that have high calorie and high fat foods. One meal is ½ my daily calorie. I know that I will eat more than twice a day.
The second fast food restaurant I choose was Taco Bell. I ate one regular style beef soft taco and one regular style chicken quesadilla with three mild sauces. I would have had a medium coke, but I could not find it on the menu. This meal totaled 730 calories with out a drink. Fat was 37 grams. Saturated was 16 grams. Tran’s fat was 1 gram. Cholesterol was 100 grams. Sodium was 2210 milligrams. Carbohydrates was 61 grams. Fiber was 6 grams. Sugars was 6 grams Protein was 38 grams. Calcium was 60%. And Iron was 40%. This one was harder to intrepid because it was in grams not daily percents. With out the drink I would have 1994 calories left for the day. This is also high in fat and calories. Eating some where healthier would be a better choice.
I have learned a lot about what is taken in each day and the nutritional benefits and negatives. The choices I make for a meal don’t seem to be the best ones for my body. I will try to stay away from the high fat high calorie food and lower my sugar intake. More exercise is also needed in my daily plan. Next to my work...
