Bridget Jones Diary, every woman will like this film!

The film tells a story of a year in the life of an average, single British woman, Bridget Jones (Renee Zellweger). She is already a thirty and still single, she also drinks and smokes a lot. Bridget goes in search for her Mr. Right. The searching starts after a new-year party. At that party she met the lawyer Mark Darcy, played by Colin Firth, but after a short chat he called her a “verbally incontinent spinster”. Bridget does not want to be a verbally incontinent spinster anymore. This insult is the reason she wants to change and she wants to keep the story of changing in a diary. Her good intentions for the new-year are: losing pounds, less drinking, less smoking and finding the perfect boyfriend.
Bridget works as a publisher and her boss, Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant), is very sexy. Not surprisingly, she goes for Daniel and not for Mark, but he turns out to be a less-than perfect catch. Bridget caught Daniel with another woman and after that she quits her job. When she accidentally met Mark a couple times she starts to like him.. But Mark hooks up with lawyer Natasha and is determined to marry her. Mark will also move to New York with his Natasha for a new job and after that Bridget is back as where she started that year.. Or is she not? If you want to know the end you must watch the film by yourself and I would say, it is worth it!

The casting of Renee Zellweger as Bridget Jones was greeted with much resistance by the English press and public. This was because of the fact Renee Zellweger is an American and she was also too skinny to play the chubby woman. After that Renee put on a few pounds and...
