The main focus of the Islamic religion is that there is one God, who they refer to as Allah. The meaning of Islam is “submission”, submission to God. Muslims believe that there are five ways to define the believer’s relationship with God; these are the Five Pillars of Religion.
The Five Pillars of Islam is; Belief and Witness, The first pillar of Islam is (the Shahadah) is believing and professing unity of God, the messengership of Muhammad: “There is no god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of God.” And Qur’an to demand the faithful to tell others of Islam and that they have information that they need to make any intelligent choice. (Mclnerney, 2003).
The second pillar is performance of a continual round of Prayers and they pray five times a day, they faithful to perform ritual ablutions with water and dirt if necessary. The Qur’an, bowing and kneeling around the world is joint facing of Mecca for prayer and Muslim come into a single world family and prayers are repeat by a congregation. There may be an imam, or prayer-leader, but no priest stands between the worshipper and Allah. (Mclnerney, 2003).
The third pillar is Zakat, or spiritual tithing and almsgiving. And the end of the year they all have to donate at least two and a half percent of their accumulated riches to the needy Muslims and the Muhammad teach you should help everyone whether or not they are Muslims. The fourth pillar is fasting, Frequent fast are recommended to Muslims, the only one is obligatory is the fast during Ramadan, commemorating the first revelations of the Qur’an to Muhammad.
