Discussions on food have been highly controversial for years now. I have always kept in mind that there is no one way to eat for everyone because everyone’s body needs different foods to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I find this true because I don’t eat like most people around me. This might be so because I have educated myself on all sorts of different eating styles, habits, and effects of ingesting different foods and the outcomes of each. I would say the biggest outcome of them all would have to be the problem of obesity. Even though I have never had to deal with this myself, I have kept myself going on the solutions I’ve created to avoid obesity.
I, for one, have chosen to avoid eating at the most undesirable fast-food restaurants such as Burger King, McDonald’s, and Carl’s Jr., and a few others. It has been years since my last burger at any of these locations. Even if I am starving, I know for a fact that there are other foods around me that can benefit me more than a hamburger. Problem is, most people either don’t know where these places are at or they “think†they don’t have time to grab something healthier.
One thing that has to be included in my diet, especially in the morning, is milk. I absolutely love milk! I can have it with cereals, oatmeal, muffins, bagels, etc. Fact is, milk is something that a person can include in their diet without any harm. I have chosen to have milk with cereal for almost all my life and so far so good. I’m not going to lie, I have seen the recommended portion sizes for cereal with milk and I probably double that. Now is this a problem? Not any noticeable problems for me. Like I said earlier, different habits and styles work for different people. This is mine.
Another idea that my family and I have decided to try is to start shopping at farmer’s markets and cook our own meals at home. We still need to do this more often but it feels like I get something out of it. I like the benefit of knowing where...
