The French and the Russian revolution both occurred mainly because of to two reasons. Both of these revolutions were the results of bad leadership and a bad economy. These two reasons plus other factors caused both of these revolutions. Although they were both similar, they also had differences. A difference between the two is that the Russians had an unsuccessful "pre-revolution" in 1905. Another difference between these two revolutions is that the French turned towards a democracy while the Russian government became communist.
In 1905 , Russia had a pre-revolution that was to get red of the Czar, Nicholas II. He made a mistake by in not introducing some reforms to correct the problems. In 1917, the Russians were fighting in World War I,. most of the people weren’t happy with the way the war was going and they thought it was the Czar’s fault so they got red of him though after they got red of him the war still went along as it was.
A series of economic and political problems began the start of the French Revolution of 1789. A large population grew and led to a loss of jobs, and made it harder on farmers to make a profit. However, the population growth ended in a rise in prices, which helped the merchant class. As the prices for goods and services went up, the wages for workers stayed behind, leaving the working class with less buying power than before.
The Russian Revolution (1917-1939) and the French Revolution (1789-1815) were very similar and dissimilar in long-term causes, immediate causes, stages of the revolution, and the world�s reaction to the revolution.
The Russian Revolution had many long-term causes, the leading long-term cause was World War I, it was causing a large strain on the country�s people and economy, and the discontent of the lower class. Huge amounts of food shortages, military defeats, and incompetent rulers contributed to the rising revolution. This was, in a way, similar to the French Revolution in that the growing...
