Future Job: Computer Scientist

Computer Scientist design and develop new computer hardware and software. They research and form new computer rules. They also invent new products, such as robots that use virtual reality, new computer languages, programming tools or even computer games. They normally work in offices or laboratories and spend most of there time on the computer.  

To be a computer scientist you need a great seal of education. The subjects you need to be very good at are math, science, computer programming, and electronics. “Having a basic scientific education can open the doors for you everywhere”, said Celica Aragon a computer scientist at NASA.

Your probably wondering, How does a computer scientist use math? The answer is they use math everyday whether they know it are not. A computer scientist know matter the job focus enters some type of data everyday which is math. They spend almost all there time on the computer, and the computer it self uses math to format the programs the scientist come up with.  

Another way a computer scientists use math are in creating computer video games/design. You must first plan out your virtual realty. Which means you use a graph.   Once they have successfully plan it out its time to actually make the program. When they create the program they test it out multiple times till there satisfied. This is also using math because each time you test it out there’s a probability on will it run successfully or not.

Also computer scientist must be able to think logically. They also need good communication skills. The reason for this is because they often handle multiple tasks at one time. The ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail is very important in this field.  

As you can see this is a interesting, hands on, and exciting the job. I have always been interested in computer science this will be my chance to make a life long dream come true.
