Honor

William Shakespeare once said, "Mine honor is my life; both grow in one; take honor from me and my life is done." This is a favorite quote of mine, because I believe that this is a policy that we should all adopt. If every human being on the earth was honorable, we would all be at peace.
Having honor means that you are truthful even under difficult circumstances. Having honor means that you act with integrity and that you are willing to cooperate with the people around you. Most importantly, having honor means that you give respect in order to receive it in return. Honor cannot be bought or sold. Honor cannot be handed to you on a silver platter. Honor is something that has to be part of who you are.
Being in an honors class is a testament to your intelligence and workmanship skills. An honors student must posses all the qualities previously mentioned, but that is not where the true honor lies. The honor is in being chosen for the class in the first place. Any teacher is obviously an exceedingly intelligent person, and to think that they had the belief in you is an astounding feeling.
I deserve to be in honors classes because I put my all into everything I do and when I make mistakes I use them as learning experience. Integrity, again, is a key part of honor and I have the integrity to admit when I’
