InterClean Restructuring Proposal
    David Spencer, InterClean CEO, is driven to make his company an industry leader in the medical cleaning and service industry.   InterClean’s company strategy is to become the first company to offer a full-service all-inclusive cleaning service by combining a range of high-quality products with high-quality service within the medical industry.   To facilitate this process, Interclean’s CEO along with the HR department has determined that a restructuring process needs to be implemented in order for the company to stay competitive.   According to Dougherty (2002) “Prospectors attempt to be the first to market with new products and services. These firms rely on innovation, flexibility, and speed. They exploit new market and product opportunities”.
Managing the Restructuring Process
    Based on the restructuring plan it has become necessary to promote Eric Borden, to General Manager of InterClean, based on his 14 years of experience and his abilities as a Team Leader, Project Coordinator, and his knowledge base of the products due to the fact that he stays current on industry standards.   Eric has put practices in place to remain competitive in the cleaning industry sales and services as these are necessary components for sustained growth and improved production and service.   Based on Eric’s research for the restructuring process, he has determined that Mid-market companies today are confronted with many challenges including rapid growth, economic shifts, technology and resource rationalization, mergers and acquisitions.   Based on these findings, he has proposed that we create five additional positions for our company.   These positions will consist of a corporate attorney, a licensed Health and Safety Specialist, a Paralegal, and two Administrative Assistants.   Not only will InterClean benefit from the skills and expertise of these professional positions but be extremely advantageous due to OSHA regulations that have...
