                introduction

Computer networks are very big and complex systems, and they require some knowledge and skills for network administrator in order to run these systems and keep them in working condition. So in this case Network tools come for a help, by doing some easy tests they help to identify the problems and weaknesses on a network.
There are three types of Network tools, these are; online networking tools, that can be run on internet web page. Application programs that can be downloaded from internet and run on a computer and finally the actual hardware that can be installed in a computer or a network for examples firewalls.
There are 3 major categories of Networks tools:

  * Packet Analyzers-help to find out and display specific messages that are processes by a computer network card
  * Port Scanners – “probe” computers and network devices for open ports.
  * Hardware scanners – investigate what is on the network, identifies the purpose of the device and how it is interacting on the network

In my project I’m going to show the examples of Network Tools, how they run and produce some results for a better understanding.
