Herod wanted to find Jesus too; but only because he wanted to kill him. Herod tricked the Wise Men and told them he wanted to worship Jesus as well and to let him know when they had found Jesus. The Wise Men eventually found Jesus, but did not tell Herod. After finding Jesus they Wise Men were visited by an angel of Herod’s trickery, they did not return to Herod as promised. After hearing about this, Herod grew furious and demanded that every child under two years of age living in Bethlehem be killed. Unbeknown to Herod, Joseph had been visited by an angel and told to escape to Egypt with his family. After Herod’s death, Joseph was visited again by the same angel; this time telling him it was safe for Jesus to return to Israel....
