Introduction
John Alexander Macdonald truly deserves the title Father of Confederation. He was clever and humorous thus, the crowds loved him. John A. had a big family and a good education. Macdonald’s personal life was tragic even though, he stood strong as a member of the House of Commons. Unfortunately, he was also the only one who upchucked in it. Macdonald was Canada’s first Prime Minister from 1867-1873 and 1878-1891. Macdonald kept on following his dream even through the Pacific Scandal and the execution of Louis Riel.
