“The world is ours to treat as we like”
This would most likely be the view of a non-Christian. However, whilst this may be their view others exist.
One such example is that of a Christians view; this is that God placed us on this Earth in order to guard over it and have both Stewardship and Dominion over the planet. A Christian may use biblical examples such as Genesis 1:27. This highlights the idea of Humans being created to look after the Earth and all on it. Many Christians may therefore use this example of Stewardship in order to give themselves a moral guide. This leads many Christians to drive low- emission cars and other environmentally beneficial habits. However, whilst this may be the view of one group of Christians another view for Christians is that of Dominion. Whilst this is similar to Stewardship its main difference is that it gives the idea of humans being able to treat the world as they like. This key difference shows how a Christian view can support the quote. This Christian idea is supported by other creation stories such as Genesis 1:28. I’m a strong believer that humans should look after the planet, however I do not believe in this...
