Judaism also known as Jewish is a monotheistic religion not founded by any one person. The homeland of the Jewish people is Israel; the former location of their ancestral religion. In this paper I will introduce Judaism, review a Jewish place of worship and give detail of an interview with a person of the Jewish religion. Lastly I will compare and contrast the Jewish religion to Christianity.

Judaism is a religion without a single founder; the people of this religion are known as Jewish or Jews, which can be defined as a religion or ethnic group.
"Judaism, which has no single founder and no central leader or group making theological decisions, is the diverse tradition associated with the Jewish people, who may be defined either as a religious group or as an ethnic group." (Fisher, 2005, p.226)
Judaism is a monotheistic religion founded in the land of Israel. The Jewish people follow the teachings of one God through the Torah. "In a religious sense, “Israel†refers to all those who answer the call of God and who acknowledge and strive to obey the one God, through the Torah, or “teaching,†given to the patriarchs, Moses, and the prophets." (Fisher, 2005, p.226) Thought out the ages the Jewish people have had to overcome many trials and tribulations. In the book of Exodus they speak of the Israelites in bondage in Egypt. They were a mass people and during this time the Pharaoh wanted to keep them from becoming powerful so he made them slaves. "To keep them from becoming too powerful, the reigning pharaoh ordered that they be turned into slaves for massive construction projects." (Fisher, 2005, p.233) They then had to face the Pharaoh’s wrath with a gruesome way of keeping the population down. He ordered the killing of males born from Israelite women. "To further curb the population, the pharaoh ordered midwives to kill all boy babies born to the Israelite women." (Fisher, 2005, p.233) Then in 586 BCE Jerusalem...
