For Chris Brander (Ryan Reynolds) and Jamie Palamino (Amy Smart) of Just Friends, impressions are most important. In the romantic comedy, Chris Brander and Jamie Palamino, prove that impressions do last a lifetime.   Just Friends will have you laughing until you cry, and will definitely get you in the holiday spirit.
During their high school years, Chris Brander, played by Ryan Reynolds, confesses his love for his best friend Jamie Palamino, played by Amy Smart, Chris encounters a broken heart, and a degrading humiliation. Adding to this injury was his large frame which became a source of ridicule for cruel classmates. Now years later, things have changed. Chris is the complete physical opposite of himself then what he was in high school. Chris becomes a hotshot record producer in Hollywood, and has an up and coming singing act by the name of Samantha James, played by Anna Faris, who has a psychotic crush on her producer. When a freak accident occurs on the way to Paris, it forces Chris to return to his home town with Samantha. Little does he know that he would come face to face with the friend that he had tried so desperately to forget. With the chance to woo her again, Chris will do what he can despite his client's violent misgivings, and a competitive rival suitor against him. No matter the crazy obstacles he must overcome, Chris will do whatever it takes to be more than just friends.
Family comes first; or does it?   In Just Friends Chris Brander’s family morals aren’t up to par with the way they should be portrayed in any movie. He disregards family and friends for ten years, and doesn’t care, or feel bad for leaving them. Chris (Ryan Reynolds) is shown to have had a hard high school experience with family and friends, and it defiantly reflects on his personality later in his life. His character is probably not the best to be shown in a movie that has potential...
