WISE OL’ ATTICUS
You can never judge a book by its cover, Atticus would be the perfect example too. he may not be as young as he once was, or as strong as he used to be but it doesn’t matter. What makes a person truly great is their character. Atticus is in his early 50's about and is in fairly decent shape. He is the head of the household, and a father to Jem and Scout. He is a very respectable man and has accomplished a lot in his time. He is a great lawyer and a great man. He shows only great respect for others young or old white or black it doesn’t make a difference to him.The book is strongly based on this character he is one of the main characters and has a very important role in the book. He portrays great wisdom in his doings and gives great examples for life in doing so. Although he is a little harsh on Jem and Scout he is
only looking out for the better of them.
Old and feeble he may be, but he has the sharpest of all minds. Being a lawyer for quite some time Atticus has come to better know the field of law rather than a football one. Atticus is not at all limited by his physical actions. He has many other important outstanding qualities. He is an excellent marksman , but most of all he is a great Lawyer. It's like Ms. Maudie says," He can make your will soo air tight...".Atticus may be old and not as energetic as he used to mbe but he more than makes up for that in wisdom. He is very fond of reading and enjoys it very much. Most knowledge can be obtained by books but Atticus's wisdom isn’t drawn short just there, he has over the years gathered vast knowledge of people and how they act. He can very easily apply reason to peoples doings. He has a very sharp tongue and can flatter you with words very easily. All these are far better aspects rather than tackle footbal. Strength is important but knowledge and wisdom is key in life.
Atticus is the only parent of two and is helped out by calpurnia, the house mistress. Atticus...
