Lords of the Flies.

The term civilisation means the organization by law and the order which is enforced by consequences , while Savagery is related to living in nature and the freedom to do whatever you choose, a lack of order.

Example:

The civilisation is related to the organisation that the boys have in the island after they are stranded they get organised with Jack as the leader and the rest of the boys responding to him, later on in the story he separates and some of the boys join   Jacks new group, while the savagery is demonstrated when, for example, Ralph runs into the island and starts killing those hunters, pursuing him randomly, not in an organised manner.

This quote exemplifies it very clearly



The protagonist is the main character of the story, while the antagonist is the event of the protagonist, his opposite, if you will.

Example:

We can see two leader figures in the story, one is Ralph and the other is Jack, which are, at the same time the protagonist and the antagonist. Because while Jack is the leader in the beginning and has a sense of dominance over the rest of the characters, Ralph, having a different set of ideals of whatis important, having Jack lost hope of being rescued and Ralph being adamant about keeping the signal, establishes a similar, but mocking version of the above mentioned organisation.


Order represents the government, the security, the enforcement to excercise my rights while the anarchy describes the lack or absense of a government.
