A brief summary of the linguistic, political, religious, social, economic and familial status of Mexican Americans, Puerto Rican Americans, Cuban Americans and the Dominican Americans ethnic groups are as follows.
Mexican Americans, Cuban Americans, Dominican Americans and Puerto Rican Americans all have a lot in common, yet still remain separate ethnic groups, descended from various ancestors. Many come to the United States to search the American Dream, others are seeking political asylum.
Americas have not always accepted immigrants, when they first arrive in the United States. But most have been able to carve out their own niche on American soil. While acceptance is not readily given to new arrivals, tolerance of different ethnic groups appears to be increasing.

Mexican Americans are a diverse group of people who have attained legal status, linguistic assimilation and social economic. Most are in search of the American Dream and are willing to work hard to escape the states of their earlier generations, in which most didn’t attain legal statics in the United States. Alba states that Hispanics who are born in the United States, or who have lived here for ten years speak English well. Therefore English is the diriment language by the second generation, and by the third generation monolingualism is common. Apparent predominance of Spanish used by Hispanic is due to recent immigration.
Mexican Americans have little progress in moving up from immigration statics to mainstream social status partly due to decimation and poor education.
The majority of Puerto Ricans are Roman Catholics, mixed with other denominations of Protestant faiths. They speak Castilian Spanish, which originated from Latin. Although English is taught in school, Spanish remains the primary language in Puerto Rico, which is a commonwealth...
