    In this paper the subject to discuss is a movie I thought represents and illustrates the portrayal of diversity. The movie is “A Time to Kill,” and the movie is about a White American lawyer who defends an African American who murders two White American men who raped his 10 year old daughter in which has the KKK involved. The movie “A Time to Kill” represents the different social and multi-racial differences on American landscape. The behaviors in the movie “A Time to Kill” were prejudice, and stereotyping and the movie portrayed Whites and African Americans. Character of each of the races represented in the movie has to deal with some form of racism, fear, and anger toward each other or the other race. The movie “A Time to Kill” shows how some of the characters are not using some form of racism and prejudice themselves no matter how unbiased he or she believes that one may be.
    The movie “A Time to Kill” based on the American landscape of Canton, Mississippi. The White American lawyer for the African American tries to push for a fair trial by obtaining a change of venue for the trial of the murder case because the lawyer does not feel the African American can receive a fair trial in the South with the majority of the population in the town Canton, Mississippi are White Americans. The White American lawyer making the assumption that the all White American jury and acquiring a White American judge the White American lawyer was stereotyping by categorizing all member as arrogant, impatient, and domineering in which would not permit for a fair trial.   The father of the African American girl who was raped realized that in a prior rape case of an African American girl the White Americans got off and never charged with the rape, so he saw it as there will be no justice for his daughter and took it into his own hands.   When comparing the movie to the...
