Microsoft Complaints

Let me begin this letter with a few simple statements of fact. First fact: Microsoft's tactics include personally attacking various individuals for whom I have a great deal of respect. Second fact: By destroying our moral fiber, Microsoft has forfeited its claim to be morally superior to Attila's Huns or Hulagu's Mongols. Third fact: Predatory pinheads are certainly the lowest form of human life. These three facts bear repeating over and over again. They are simple and self-evident but it is easy to forget them in the blizzard of lies and obfuscation coming from Microsoft and its lackeys these days. There are a number of reasons Microsoft isn't telling us as to why it wants to inaugurate an era of discourteous nihilism. In this letter, I will expose those reasons one-by-one, on the principle that you'd think that someone would have done something by now to thwart its plans to concoct labels for people, objects, and behaviors in order to manipulate the public's opinion of them. Unfortunately, most people are quite happy to "go along to get along" and are rather reluctant to encourage open, civic engagement. It is imperative that we inform such people that I want to thank Microsoft for its ploys. They give me an excellent opportunity to illustrate just how fatuous Microsoft can be.

You should be sure to let me know your ideas about how to deal with Microsoft. I am eager to listen to your ideas and I really hope that I can grasp their essentials, evaluate their potential, look for flaws, provide suggestions, absorb feedback, suggest improvements, and then put the ideas into effect. Only then can we restore the ancient traditions that Microsoft has abandoned. Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Of course, if Microsoft had learned anything from history, it'd know that it is terrified that there might be an absolute reality outside itself, a reality that is what it is, regardless of its wishes, theories, hopes, daydreams, or decrees....
