Leong and Huang acknowledged the fact that the work force in the United States is becoming increasingly diversified. The purpose of this article was to examine a model to address multicultural issues in the delivery of consultation. The model introduced by Leong and Huang incorporated the Process Consultation Approach (PC) and the Cultural Accommodation Model (CAM). The purpose for the purchase of expertise model (PE), is to purchase from the consultant some information or expert service that the organization is lacking. In contrast to the PE, the purpose of the doctor-patient model (DP), is to hire a consultant to identify the cause of the problem in the organization and then to recommend an intervention. Finally, in the PC model the primary goal of the consultant is to help the organization by creating an effective helping relationship between the consultant and the organization so that the consultant can guide the organization through the process of discovering its own problems and finding resolutions. In addition to these three models, ten principles were created to guide consultants in building the relationship in PC. The three guidelines mentioned in the article covered the topics of the consultant-client relationship, the collection of information, and the intervention.   The authors introduced CAM. This model was created to specifically tackle cultural issues in consultation. Leong and Haung integrate the aspects of universal, group, and the individual. The universal aspect is based on the idea of the “universal laws” of human conduct. The group aspect includes both ethnic minority psychology and the study of gender differences. The individual aspect is based on the idea that individual learning histories and personal phenomenology are critical elements in the understanding of human behavior.
