The hiring process is a very detailed one. The organization depends totally on the human resource department and the department supervisors to fill all open positions. The human resource department screens prospective employees and interviews potential candidates and gives tests to a new employee that assesses basic skills and comprehension. The human resource department also conducts background checks to see if an employee fits the company’s criteria for hire. Once the human resource department has given clearance to a prospective employee a department supervisor will set up an interview with this individual. During the interview the supervisor will determine if the prospective employee has the qualifications needed for the position.   Once all interviews have been conducted and the opening positions have been filled, the training will be scheduled.   Everyone who has qualified will receive a call from human resources as to when the training will start.   They will also be informed of the following:
All new employees will be required to participate in our three day training program. Upon completion of the program they will be given their regular schedule, if they do not complete the program, no schedule will be given and any employment opportunity will be terminated.
Once an employee begins training in a department the general manager will be periodically checking on each new employee to determine whether or not the supervisor is providing the necessary training that is required for their department. If the employee is not learning all that is necessary, both supervisor and trainee will be evaluated. So it is imperative for a supervisor to give 110% in training a new employee if they do not want to have their job performance under evaluation.
