NOISES IN THE CITY
The sound of cars rushing by, snowplows cleaning the sidewalk, music from toystores and the policeman’s whistle; these are all noises of the city. Hardly anyone can get to sleep at night or sleep on the weekends. No one needs an alarm clock to wake them up when there are car horns honking everywhere. After breakfast, kids are playing games in the many parks; some are already at school. Teenagers are walking around with the volume on their large radios on full blast, rap music is blaring in your ears. With all the babies crying, ambulance sirens on, and school bells ringing, you can hardly hear yourself think. Silence is rare in the city.
