Officer Selection Process
Introducing, the topic as it will be discussed, the selection process of various levels of police such as local, state or federal officer. Also, this paper will include the various training programs through which the officers of each level goes before they are employed as officer. So as we are aware of the fact that police officers play a very important role in maintaining discipline and also they are the ones who are most reliable for fighting with various types of crimes and criminals. The job of a police officer is a very hard; they do face very tough problems while doing their job. Police officers need to go through a very tough training and also various selection processes so that they do not face any difficulties while handling various criminals and therefore can perform their job very well.
Officer Selection Process:
The selection process begins with the application form that asks details of the candidate. The candidates should complete the application form completely without leaving any question unanswered. Resumes, unless asked for, are generally not accepted and completing all the information in the form is very important as failing to do so may result in rejection of our application. Candidates should disclose anything relevant in reference to their past and marital status and dependents. The police civil service exam is usually the next phase, which consists of eight major categories: (“Law Enforcement Preparation Center”, 2011)
