Oppression in arabia
Introduction:
Introduce, define and explain what is meant by oppression in Islamic Arabia, how people view it, and what its victims think of it.
Body:
As an Arab woman coming fresh abroad from a male-supremacist culture, I feel there is much to say and relate with the pedagogy. While researching for this paper, I realized nothing is said about Arab women being oppressed, rather women living in a Muslim society. I’d like to point out that oppression and discrimination are not based on religious beliefs, but emanate from traditions, ignorance of Islamic Laws and The Holy Book, misconception and as in all cases, pride and honour, violence, anger, shamelessness, and stupidity.
Because of my culture, schooling and way of life, I will be quoting The Qur’an and Hadiths (sayings and quotes) by the Prophets to further emphasize how women are meant to be. There are many cases of cruelty and unfairness even from the 7th century that I will be pointing out, as well as the heroic stories of some of the Arab world’s most powerful women, and how they realized their dilemma, overcame stereotypical conditions and risked so much to empower, inspire, restore self-efficacy and most importantly educate the Arab women, all the while learning and maturing.
I will also be discussing how authoritarian the oppressors are, think they are all-powerful, and act upon that belief, how they view the sufferers and how they teach and incorporate religion, wrongly justifying their oppressive conduct.
Women have moved on to come together to raise awareness, and have revolutionized the Arab world, and eradicated most misunderstandings fixed in the eyes of the unaware public.
Conclusion:
Take another look at how oppression was dealt with, how education helped, where these women stand, and how the oppressors were sorted out.
