I have used the example from the website http://www.jnj.com/connect. The example I used is call “Our Commitment to Conservationâ€. Johnson & Johnson Service Inc. had created the example. I did detect a slant in this example. The slant is about to protect water resource on earth. This example is telling us to use the water resource thoughtfully and the greatness about the water resource management. It is very credible because human’s life rely on the water resource. Water resource decrease is the major problem on earth in these days. The example has showed the effort about the water resource management. The example also shows the important about the preventing the decreasing of the water resource.
I did not skeptical of the sources’ credibility, because the source is from a big and good reputation company, Johnson & Johnson Service Inc. There is no need for a big company to post fail or fake information on their website. I did not detect any bias, because the tone of the author is very natural and the example is mostly fact.
The ad does make a claim about conservation of the water resource by the water resource management. The fear of the ad play into is about the decreasing and damaging the water resource. The ad targets an existing fear. Because according text “Rain harvesting began in 2008. Water is collected from the rooftop and recharged to the ground using a harvest pit.†So the problem is been going on for a while. The ad did not try to invoke feeling. The ad used admirable people to persuade the audience. According to the text ““The enterprise-level goals are very demanding,†Says S. Radhakrishnan, Manager of Environment, Health and Safety, Johnson & Johnson Ltd. in Mulund, India. “We’re careful to review our local efforts to ensure compliance with enterprise standards as well as community needs.†I would make a purchase based on the information presented, because from the fact the author gives out shows the important of the water...
