African American are citizen of the united states descended from west African slaves. African American originated from the 1800’s, when slaves were forced to come here and work against there will, this lasted until the late 1800’s when the 13th amendment of the U.S constitution in December of 1865 was passed. From then on late slave worked hard to get African Americans on the ballot, but white Americans turned it down for years and years to come. By the 1900’s African Americans migrated to bigger cities like New York, Chicago, and California. Colonization to free black was an issue because blacks and whites were now divided. There also were some unsupportive black Americans of the emigration, because they felt that we would never receive fair justice in the United states, but the other African Americans felt different. The African Americans who felt they wanted fair justice decided to stay in America and fight for full legal rights as an American citizenship, because they felt they deserved it from being slaved. There were some whites that felt that black Americans would be better off going back to there country, but there also were whites that felt colonization was a way of getting rid of the African American nation, but the other felt different because back in Africa they would live free off racial discrimination.
African Americans faced racism, prejudice, and segregation., in which these things became a major impact on the culture. There was a lot of discrimination and segregation between whites and black for along period of time and now today some people are still stuck in that state mind. Some white Americans has classified blacks as human beings that should not have equality, because of the color of there skin. Segregation   caused African Americans to be treated disrespectfully and differently as humans.
