PEACE Domestic Violence

The mission statement for the PEACE Domestic Violence program is very important because it informs the clients as well as grantors, how the program plans to provide service.   The Peace Domestic Violence mission is to protect their clients from enduring more domestic violence. Therefore, the organization should include the appropriate information in the statement.   The mission will also demonstrate what differences the organization will make for the community that it serves. The mission statement should describe everything about the program in very short phrases. If the organinzation’s mission statement does not include information regarding domestic violence victims, it will not help my program at all.  


    The organizations must be certain to include every aspect of what “Peace Domestic Violence” program defines. The goal describes the desired outcome and is very challenging.   The program should show the short and long goals that should be accomplished within the program and organization. For example, if the goals are to make sure that all families become self sufficient, they should do everything to make this possible. They should keep up with the families’ progress and make certain they assist them in becoming self sufficient with their program.


    If the mission statement is informing with clients that they will provide childcare for the single mothers that are attending school, or completing their program, they should do so.   The mission is and should make sure that the program is in aligned with the program so that they work well together.   If they are different in any way, the program will not deliver the service that is required.   For example: While employed at the Salvation Army and the program states that they help women and children only in their shelter for the remainder of the year.   The organization’s mission statement states that they will help families, men, women, and children.
