Research shows that over the past 25 years a dramatic number of individuals perceive that the attention to ethics has been steadily on the decline. Several believe that our leaders are self-interested and corrupt, making the ethical problem even worse. The Ethics Awareness Inventory was designed to help develop a better understanding of personal perspective and style. It gives an insight into core belief systems and the belief system of others. It gives you an idea of how you will approach ethical issues and the reason for approaching these issues in this way. No right and wrong answers are given, just direction of the awareness of the basis you use to determine right and wrong and an idea on your own perspective on personal ethics. “The Ethics Awareness Inventory refers to a series of broad characterizations representing four prominent categories of ethical philosophy.†(2003) The categories included Character, Obligation, Results, and Equity, each representing a primary core value that forms a basis for ethical decision making within your ethical perspective.
Upon reflecting on the results of the Williams Institute Ethics Awareness Inventory self-assessment and considering my own personal values, I understood the basics for making decisions, the approach involved in understanding the core principle of ethical values helps understood what is right or good, compare and decide among alternatives available to solve issues and problems, considering Kudler Fine Food as an organization, the organization is geared towards customer oriented value, rapid expansion and community service based. Kudler is dedicated to clients, this is because kudler mode its business towards customers satisfaction which is a good quality of any organization, this is because an organization is in business due to the fact that customers patronize the organization, therefore satisfying customers is an important aspect for the continuation of Kudler Fine Food.
