CheckPoint: Proactive Tactics
There are several different proactive tactics that are used to make the everyday operations easier. Those tactics are decoy operations, stake out operations, and sting operations. The decoy operation tactics are when an officer spends most of his shift undercover then they will be in uniform. This was an easier way to apprehend the criminals but without the criminal knowing the police are with him/her at that very moment. When they are undercover they will have to wait until a command is given or the suspect commits the crime that they are investigating and then they move in and arrest him/her. This is a very good tactic to use, because it allows the police to get close to the suspect until it is too late for him or her to notice, because they are disguised as someone else.
