Abstract
This is a presentation for a proposal for programs and activities for inmates of a private federal prison. Major City Correctional Facility has contracted to house low custody illegal reentry inmates from Mexico; along with the medium security inmates that will be housed at the facility.

Proposed programs and activities for MCCF

This proposal is for Major City Correctional Facility. The programs and activities proposed in this paper have been researched and determined to be the best to serve the inmates in our facility; the staff that work at MCCF, and the communities surrounding the facility. Each program that is discussed will have necessary information available to decide if the program is of importance to the MCCF.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) in accordance with Program Statement 5100.08, will classify and designate what facility an inmate will enter after the sentencing has been completed, this is within the manual utilized by the BOP, Inmate Security and Custody Classification. (Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP_D), n.d.).Inmates are usually placed within a 500 mile radius of their release residence; as long as the facility can provide the necessary security and programs. In most instances, if the inmate is placed further away it is due to security level, medical, bed space, necessary programs, or protection of the victim and public needed for inmate to be housed. The Inmate Financial Responsibility Program (IFRP) began in the BOP in 1985 and was implemented in all BOP facilities in the United States by 1987.
