Cold War Ideology and Policies
Cold War Ideology and Policies
During The Cold War the alliances were with the Soviet Union and they were against Japan and Russia and alliance with China against Japan. All though the United States and the Soviet Union were in an alliance they did not trust one another and this went on throughout the war. The United States would share information with Germany and not always with the Soviet Union. This went on and grew stronger when the Iron Curtain parted East Germany from the West Germany and the Soviet Union managed the East part of Germany and the United States and Western Europe owned the West part of Germany. Russia, China, and the United States are the wartime allies that turned into enemies after the Cold War.
The American Cold War policies and practices influenced international relations from the late 1940s to the mid-1950s in a big way. The American Cold War Policies gave aid to the nations that were fighting. The domestic transition from war to peace was slowed down because of inflation, labor unrest, and shortages of goods and housing, but the return of prosperity from the Cold War Policies given by consumer and government spending, eased the readjustment. By so the Policies helped give the aides to the nations. This was a major focus for the Americans during this time period. The United States helped rebuild their enemy land and this was because to South Korea it was important to avoid converting to communism. The United Sates sent troops to help South Korea fight against North Korea.
