Personal Training Business
This project is designed to provide insight into running a business in the near future
(3-5 years after graduation). Therefore, thought should be given as to whether or not the goals and objectives you set are reasonable and attainable within the given period of time. This is not to say that bigger and better things do not lie in your future. Think of this as a blue print for a good place to reach in your career, and decide where to go from there.
Starting Information:
• You wish to work independently, not for a corporation.
• You currently have 20 clients who have agreed to continue training with you
wherever you decide to go.
• You may live anywhere in the country, but you have not yet made a “nameâ€
for yourself (no celebrity clients).
• Your mom & dad have agreed to loan you $2,500.
• You are currently working at the job where you make $15.00 an hour and
average 35 hours per week. Your earnings are taxed at 25%.
• Your assets for this project total a $1,000 savings account.
• Because you are a sole proprietor, your earnings at the new facility will be
taxed as personal income.
This project must contain and will be graded on the following:
• A mission statement
• Description and location of the facility
• Floor plan design
• Equipment selection
• An expenditure sheet, cash flow sheet, and an income statement.
• Marketing creativity
• Client services and pricing
• Funding
• Overall presentation of the plan
